Our professional trainers can introduce you to the many features of SpecLink and get you using your new productivity tool in as little as one day.

After attending our class, you’ll be on your way to producing specs faster and more easily than you ever imagined possible.

Based on demand and availability of adequate computer facilities, BSD offers training workshops in major cities. Overview: Covers the content of the master database, software operation, and descriptive and proprietary specifying tactics and techniques.

Length: Two 1-day courses, 9 am to 5 pm with lunch on your own.

Day 1: Basics of SpecLink+, Improving Your Spec Writing Efficiency and Accuracy (intended for new users)

  • How to navigate in the software.
  • How to start a new project.
  • How to edit sections.
  • How links and choices work.
  • How to format, print, and export the final document.

Day 2: Building an Office Master (intended for experienced users or Day 1 attendees)

  • Office master concepts.
  • How to create office masters for typical projects.
  • How to import existing sections you already have in word processing.
  • How to customize by adding choices, links, tags, and notes.
  • How to make Checklists that increase productivity.

AIA Members: BSD will report 7 LU's (Learning Units) for each day; 14 units for both days.
CSI Members: You may self-report 7 contact hours for each day, 14 total, toward your CCS, CCCA, or CCPR Certification renewal.
BSD provides each attendee a Course Completion Certificate for their records.

Early Bird Special - sign up for an Atlanta class more than 60 days in advance, and receive a 10% discount on your enrollment fee.

Payment is required in advance to hold your place in the class. All dates are tentative and may be rescheduled by BSD with 22 days notice. Cancellation or rescheduling by the student after that time is subject to a 25% rescheduling fee.
