Class I rated products of equivalent thickness.
FM Approved - Subject to the conditions of approval as roof insulation
when installed as shown in the current edition of the Factory Mutual
Research Approvals Guide.
Environmentally safe - Uses EPA accepted blowing agents.
Light weight - Lighter than most other insulating products offering
comparable thermal resistance; as much as five times lighter in weight
than many other materials with the same R-value.
Excellent dimensional stability.
Low water permeability - lower overall perm rating than many
conventional insulation boards.
High moisture resistance and no capillarity; is stable and maintains
its physical and insulating characteristics.
Easier handling and faster to install –– Because it is light weight,
this material is easier to handle on the job site and installs faster.
Easier cutting in the field provides the installer with simplified
fabricating on the roof deck. Minimizes on-the-job damage.

Excellent dimensional stability.
Resists damage due to normal deck traffic during and after
construction.
Fast and easy to apply.
Tough performance proven for over 30 years.

Roofing Underlayment Products for Section 07 3126 (07315) - Slate Shingles

The TruSlate(tm) system from GAF-Elk can make the dream of owning a
genuine slate roof a reality. The TruSlate(tm) premium roofing system
features…
Real hand-split quarried slate
(not a synthetic imitation)
Affordable luxury
(often comparable to the cost of the cheap-looking imitations)
Installation on re-roofing or new construction
(because it typically eliminates the expensive structural modifications
that old-fashioned slate requires)
Potential improvement in the home's resale value
(and may even help you to sell it more quickly)

How did we do it?
On an old-fashioned slate roof, half of each slate is never seen,
because it’s tucked under the piece above it. We’ve replaced this
wasted slate with a high-tech waterproofing material. With this
ingenious design, the TruSlate(tm) premium roofing system can be
installed on almost any roof.
It goes without saying, before you select your next roofing system, you
owe it to yourself to consider the advantages of a TruSlate(tm) roof.
In fact, why even consider a plastic imitation, when you can get the
real thing for about the same price—and for only a fraction of the cost
of old-fashioned slate?

GAF TruSlsate Description:
The TruSlate(tm) premium roofing system offers property owners,
property managers, contractors and architects the beauty and
performance of a real, hand-quarried slate at an affordable price. This
is a result of the ease and speed of the installation and the lack of
expensive, structural modifications (often required on old-fashioned
slate applications). TruSlate has been on the market for many years and
has been tested to most of the major building and testing committees,
including ASTM C406 and Dade County. The TruSlate premium roofing
system finally allows the beauty and charm of real slate to be
available to the masses.
