Ceiling Solutions for Section 09 3000 - Tiling (09300 - Tile)

Compotite's Composeal Gold is a 40 mil (1 mm) thick crack isolation waterproof membrane manufactured in 5 foot by 90 foot rolls, that is expressly designed for thin-set tile installations. It bonds directly to cementitious substrates but is flexible enough to protect the tile installation from damage due to shrinkage cracks.

• For exterior and interior use, new construction and renovations.
• For balconies, plaza decks, commercial kitchens, laundries, locker rooms, bathrooms, and other wet areas.
• For use over radiant heating panels.
• Under ceramic tile, marble, brick and stone.
• Significant labor cost savings with faster, one-step seaming.
• Superior chemical, mildew, fungus resistance, excellent bond strength.
• Acceptable substrates are concrete, cementitious backer units, exterior grade plywood if protected by sloped mortar bed or fill, and thick mortar setting beds.
• Meets ANSI A118.10 American National Standard for Load Bearing, Bonded, Waterproof Membranes. Test data is available.

Introduced in 1992, Composeal Gold was the industry's first heat fused 3-ply membrane and can be used in conjunction with Compotite's Blue Vinyl Shower Pan, in successful use for over 25 years.
