BSD Makes A Splash at AIA

BSD was prominently located in the high tech pavilion at the AIA Convention and Design Exposition in San Francisco last month. With signage and automated presentations promoting our new products and a staff of nine people manning the booth, we were equipped to dazzle the crowds. Although attendance at the convention was significantly less than last year in Boston, those visitors who were interested in state-of-the-art specifications and linking software got an eyeful at the BSD booth.

This year, the theater in one corner of the BSD booth continuously presented an automated overview of the new BSD SpecLink-E™ product (see lead article in this issue of LinkLine) when it wasn’t being used for specific presentations on various key features of BSD SoftLink® products. The other three corners of the booth were used for one-on-one demonstrations of both the current BSD products and the new products currently being tested for release in late 2009.

We also participated again this year in the Architectural Products Honda Hybrid Sweepstakes. And the lucky winner is… Steven J. Suski, AIA, of Suski Design, Inc. in Chicago. Steven was overwhelmed by his win and was especially grateful to BSD and the other sponsors of the car giveaway. According to Steven, “I did test drive the car last weekend and found it to be roomy, peppy and equipped with numerous gauges and ways of illustrating gas savings and such which I totally loved.  I think Honda will have a winner with this car.”

Construct2009 exposition, the exhibit portion of the CSI annual convention, will be held June 17-19 in Indianapolis. BSD will be there, directly across the aisle from the CSI feature booth. In addition to demonstrating our existing BSD SpecLink® and BSD CostLink®/AE products, we will be demonstrating our recently released, Final Beta of the new BSD SpecLink-E and conducting previews of the new BSD LinkMan-E™. We will also be giving away a beautiful new Dell laptop in SpecLink green to one lucky booth visitor. Entry forms will be available only at the BSD booth and must be completed and dropped off before the exhibits close on June 19. The winner of the drawing will also receive a complimentary subscription to BSD SpecLink.
