This publication is what is colloquially known as the "Three-Part Specification Format." It is CSI's recommended organization of information within an individual specification section. The consistency introduced by following SectionFormat promotes readability, reduces omissions by the writer, avoids duplications, and helps readers (i.e. bidders) avoid overlooking essential requirements.
The PageFormat portion of this publication describes CSI recommended page layout and paragraph numbering scheme, designed to promote readability of specification documents.
One of the built-in page formatting options in SpecLink is CSI Format, it conforms to CSI PageFormat.
SpecLink's construction specifications follow SectionFormat/PageFormat. If you need to customize the document format, this is possible using with the tools available in SpecLink, and this is the go-to source for information and options on how to do it properly.
