They are recognized throughout the country as subject matter experts in the fields of specification writing, cost estimating, and computer-aided design.


Christopher Anderson

Christopher Anderson

President and CEO

Prior to his acceptance of the position at BSD, Mr. Anderson served as Vice President, Data Strategy & Consulting with The Gordian Group, which recently acquired RS Means, the premier U.S. source of building cost data. In his role at Gordian, Mr. Anderson specialized in data strategy and analytics, covering all aspects of the building construction lifecycle from conception through facility management. Prior to the Gordian Group position, Chris was General Manager at RS Means, where he was responsible for all aspects of the business, including development and execution of customer growth strategy for the company’s construction pricing data and consulting services to building owners and facility managers.


Arol Wolford

Chief Innovations Officer

Arol Wolford is a pioneer and passionate advocate of building intelligence. He has devoted his career to the proposition that sharing information among owners, architects, contractors, and manufacturers is the key to creating better and more efficient buildings.

Arol is the founder of Construction Market Data (CMD), a global leader in building information serving the United States, Canada, Mexico, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, China, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia and Australia. The company grew from 5 employees in 1982 to 1300 employees in 2000 and offered well-known information sources such as CMD Bulletins, Architects’ First Source, CanaData, Clark Reports, CMD Electronic, CMD Connect to Sales Force and Microsoft CRM, Manufacturers’ Survey Associates, and RSMeans. CMD Group was acquired by Reed Elsevier $300 million in 2000.

Arol is a Board Member of Revit Technology Corporation, creator of the first parametric building modeler. Revit was sold to Autodesk in 2002 for $133 million. In 2003, Arol founded SmartBIM, a creator of Revit Objects. Arol most recently founded VIMtrek in 2010.

The American Institute of Architects (AIA) named Arol an honorary member in 1997 and in 2007 chose him to serve on the AIA 150 Board, the first non-architect to be so honored. Arol was the Construction Specification Institute (CSI) President's Award Winner in 1999.


Iain Melville

Iain Melville

Executive Chairman

Iain Melville is Executive Chairman of BSD and is an experienced business leader with a demonstrated reputation for achieving great outcomes for customers through businesses that maximize the potential of people, systems and information in data and technology driven environments. Melville now brings that experience to BSD to help its customers succeed and thrive as digital transformation drives change within the AECO industry.

Following a 30-year corporate career, Melville is now an investor, mentor and entrepreneur fostering the prosperity, growth and development of software and data businesses serving the construction industry internationally. He is chairman of VIMaec and founder of Blaszt in the UK. While with the RELX Group, from 2006 to 2013, Melville served as Chief Executive of Construction Market Data and RS Means where he transformed the company’s digital business and delivered sustained growth and multiple new products, also aligning the company as the inaugural strategic partner of the AIA. Prior to that, from 2001 to 2006 he was Managing Director of Reed Business Information where he was responsible for company-wide on-line strategy, acquisitions and innovation and liaised with the UK Government on digital strategy. Melville was also a founding director of the UK association of online publishers (UKAOP) and served on the board of directors.

From 1996 to 2001 Melville was Executive Director of United Business Media where he was responsible for multiple vertical markets and early internet ventures. He was previously European Managing Director for IIR (now part of Informa Group) and spent his early career in a variety of roles with Reed Exhibitions. He is a graduate of Lancaster University.


Chip B

Chip Bullock, AIA, LEED AP BD+C

Director of Specifications

Chip Bullock is a registered architect and is the Director of Specifications at BSD. He manages teams responsible for BSD SpecLink-E, BSD LinkMan-E, and Revit object development. He has been actively involved in architectural and engineering design, including development of construction specifications, over the course of his career. He is a member of AIA, CSI, and USGBC.

Chip is committed to the continuous improvement and integration of BSD’s SoftLink products for Design and Construction Professionals, Facility Owners and Operators, and Building Product Manufacturers.

Prior to joining BSD, Chip was the Managing Principal and Director of Architecture for the HDR Atlanta office. Chip has over thirty years of diverse experience, including from the owner’s perspective as a facility management leader at the Centers for Disease Control and at Emory University in Atlanta.

Chip is an expert in advanced,environmentally friendly design and construction for many facility types,including Higher Education, Science + Technology, and Healthcare. Chip has made presentations across the United States on such topics as integrating sustainable design and construction, BIM processes, managing costs against sustainable value, and technical decision-making.

A graduate of the University of Tennessee with high honors, he is also the recipient of many awards and honors throughout his professional career.


Subbu V

Subbu Vadali

Head of Technology

Subbu Vadali is an experienced senior technology leader with a demonstrated history of working in several industries like software, telecom, data and insurance. Prior to joining BSD, Subbu has lead several mid to large-scale projects by providing architectural guidelines, bringing in automation in data collection, migrate to cloud platforms and provide cloud based solutions. While at Reed Business Information (part of Reed Elsevier), Subbu was the Lead Architect for all of the Reed’s companies in the US, where his responsibilities were to bring all the companies under the same technology, standards and procedures. Subbu also lead architecture and software development at Reed Construction Data as Director of Technology and contributed to Global Warranty project as a lead architect at Assurant, prior to joining BSD. Before moving to the US in 2000, Subbu was a software consultant in Germany and The Netherlands, where his focus was in the telecom industry for British Telecom.

Tom S

Tom Stein

Director of Technical Support

Tom Stein and his team are responsible for strategic and operational technical functions of the company. He and his team are also responsible for all aspects of customer support and training. He joined the BSD team in December 2011 as the customer support manager.

Tom has over 20 years of computer- and software-related experience. His expertise ranges from management consulting to supporting multiple software packages and their working environments. His background includes technical support, computer operations, and management-level positions. He is actively researching new and unique ways to deliver our software content to our customers. Prior to BSD, he was the manager of technical support for ABOL Software for 7 years supporting their international operations and customers as well as implementing new custom solutions. Tom earned a BS in management from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY.

Paul Worosz

Director of Sales

Paul Worosz is an accomplished, high energy sales professional with experience in both quick and long cycle transactional sales. His strong solution sales skills have enabled him to consistently grow revenue for his employers. He is an accomplished and seasoned sales professional and team leader who consistently proves his ability to build outstanding rapport with clients at all levels. Paul is a passionate salesman who leads by example.

Prior to joining BSD in 2012, Paul spent several years in the motorsports industry working with Mylaps Sports Timing, the leader in automatic sports timing systems.
