BSD SpecLink® Short Form Specifications

The BSD SpecLink+ Short Form Specifications have been replaced by the Outline/Short Form Catalog in SpecLink-E. The information on this web site about PerSpective applies only to subscriptions started prior to December 1, 2009.

The new Outline & Short Form Catalog performs the same functions as the SpecLink+ Short Form Catalog but has several distinct advantages:

  • The Outline & Short Form are simply different views of the full-length specs, making transitioning from short to long or vice versa as easy as flipping a switch.
  • User edits made in the full-length specs can also be made to apply to the Outline and Short Form versions, simply by setting a "tag".
  • The Outline & Short Form are now in Masterformat 2004, rather than Masterformat 1995.

While the Short Form sections will continue to be available to SpecLink+ subscribers, they will no longer be updated. We urge subscribers who have a need to prepare Preliminary Project Descriptions, schematic phase documents, or construction documents for "low risk" projects to take a look at the new Outline/Short Form Catalog.
