GAF - Elk

GAF-Elk "TruSlate"

GAF-Elk's "TruSlate" system has been added to SpecLink’s existing Section 07 3126 (07311) - Slate Shingles.

GAF-Elk's "TruSlate" uses real, hand split quarry slate shingles that are smaller and lighter than traditional slate with a proprietary fastening system and underlayments.  The smaller, lighter slates produce a roof with a true slate shingle appearance but with a significant reduction in weight and cost.  The reduced cost makes TruSlate an attractive option when a traditional appearance is desired and the reduced weight makes TruSlate suitable for reroof applications over some structures not originally engineered to bear the weight of a traditionally-fastened slate shingle roof.

Section 07 3126 features an optional checklist that makes it easy for the user to select a traditional, nailed slate shingle roof or the TruSlate system.  SpecLink’s intelligent linking helps the user to select from a number of options in either case and directs the user to the appropriate installation language for the respective systems.

ACO Polymer Products, Inc.

ACO Polymer Products, Inc.

Five different factory fabricated trench drain product lines from ACO Polymer Products have been added to two existing SpecLink sections:  Section 22 1006 (15146) - Plumbing Piping Specialties and Section 33 4111 (02365) - Storm Drainage Piping.

Both sections feature ACO's factory fabricated polymer concrete trench sections in standard trench widths and section lengths, as well as a wide variety of grating materials and styles in all load classes.  ACO's combination of available sizes, styles, capacities and load classes covers the widest possible range of indoor and outdoor trench drain applications from retail centers to sports venues to transportation and industrial facilities.

ACO's trench drain system avoids guesswork about trench drain capacities and loads as well as uncertainties about design compliance and workmanship associated with field fabricated trenches.

SpecLink’s intelligent linking helps the user, step by step, select the trench drain system that meets the user's criteria for size, load class, grating style, ADA compliance and chemical resistance from ACO's available options.

Section 22 1006 (15146) also features ACO's "QuARTz" series of factory fabricated trench style shower drains.  QuARTz shower channel drains offer a high style alternative to typical floor drains for residential shower applications.
